What does Ginny Prior have in common with Tom Brokaw? No, it's not her annual salary - although, God knows she's doing just fine. Both Prior and Brokaw are life-long journalists from South Dakota. The founder of USA Today is from South Dakota, too - in case the question ever comes up in a game of Trivial Pursuit.

But let's get back to Ginny, who's worked on radio, TV and for newspapers and magazines for over 30 years. After more than a decade doing the #1 music morning show on KSFO in San Francisco with Gene Nelson, Ginny went freelance in 1995. Ginny also enjoys writing about interesting people and places. A member of the Bay Area Travel Writers Association, The North American Snowsport Journalists Association and The Outdoor Writers of California, she focuses on outdoor adventures and people who live life to the fullest.

Her bi-weekly travel column runs in six Media News Group papers in the Bay Area, for a total readership of over 300,000. Ginny also has a weekly column online and in the popular Oakland newspaper The Montclarion. She's written articles for USA Today, AAA Living, as well as Bay Area publications including Diablo, Oakland and Alameda magazines.

Ginny lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and is available for freelance writing or broadcasting assignments. She is also available as a consultant for most media projects, including press releases.
